Free agent forwrad Joe Ingles is returning to Utah, having agreed to a two-year, $4.5 million extension with the Jazz.

Ingles, 27, suited up in 79 games for the Jazz, averaging five points, two rebounds and two assists last season.

The two-year guaranteed deal punctuates a long, twisting journey out of Australia and through Spain and Israel and finally the NBA for Ingles. He played eight seasons overseas before finally making the Jazz roster a year ago.
“They’re a great organization to do business with, because they give opportunities to players,” agent Mark Bartelstein said. “And once they do, they invest a lot of time and effort into developing them. Joe is a perfect example of that.”
Ingles returns as part of an excellent young core of players in Utah, including Gordon Hayward, Rudy Gobert and Alec Burks.
