LeBron Likes the Mo Williams Trade

LeBron James is presently surrounded by some of the best basketball players in the universe, an experience that will be nothing like what he will see once he crosses the Ohio state border in a few weeks.

The good news for James and his Cavs, is that the team he will rejoin for the 2008-’09 season will be better than the squad that pushed the eventual champs to the brink in the Playoffs.

After not-so-subtly putting the pressure on Cleveland’s front office to improve the team this summer, LBJ gave embattled GM Danny Ferry a passing grade following the acquisition of Mo Williams.

From the Akron Beacon Journal:

”It can help us. I think Mo is a very good point guard,” James said.

”He can create for himself and create for others, so it’s a great move. I think it’s an ‘A.’ ”

Always good to see LeBron happy. Isn’t that right, Cavs fans?

Mo Williams, meanwhile, says there’s no need to worry about his reputation as a shoot-first, shoot-again guard. Mo says he’s ready to fall in line and actually play some defense for Mike Brown.
