Mark Cuban’s Swift Response to L’Affaire Josh Howard

If you happen to live under a rock, and therefore have yet to see Josh Howard’s feelings towards the U.S. National Anthem, feel free to click here. Josh’s boss saw the video (well before any of us, actually), and he’s going to do something about it, dammit!

Mark Cuban doesn’t blame his guy for uttering PR-unfriendly things; no, he blames the technology that allows high-profile athletes to broadcast their uncensored views to the unwashed masses.

From the Dallas Morning News:

“That said, we will be going through some advanced communication-skill sessions together this training camp,” Cuban said Tuesday. “I have explained to him that cellphone cameras are not your friend and that what you think you said on camera is never what people will hear when it shows up on YouTube or TV.”

“There is only one universal response that works: ‘Both teams played hard.’

I love that Cuban quotes Rasheed Wallace when discussing this. Since, you know, that guy never says anything inflammatory.
