Wiz Ink Anzejs Pasecniks To Standard Deal

The Washington Wizards have seen enough from Latvian prospect Anzejs Pasecniks to convert his two-way contract into a standard deal, Candace Buckner of the Washington Post reports.

The 24-year-old has chipped in admirably for the injury ravaged big league squad, averaging 8.2 points and 6.2 rebounds in just over 22 minutes of action per night.

Pasecniks will fill in the roster vacancy created by the team’s forthcoming release of C.J. Miles.

Pasecniks was drafted by the Wizards in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft but played in Spain prior to the 2019-20 season.
