Damian Lillard had been a hot topic over the past month as the biggest superstar who teams could look to trade for this offseason. Although he’s currently playing with Team USA leading up to the Tokyo Olympics, the guard is still being asked about his future with the Portland Trail Blazers.
During a recent Olympics media availability, Lillard gave his thoughts on the situation.
“It’s a lot of things being said, sometimes words being put in my mouth when I haven’t said anything. It’s been a lot of talk. I don’t really have nothing to say to you guys about it.”
Lillard seems to be focused on the upcoming Olympics, as he should be. While he will certainly have input on his future in Portland, the NBA Finals haven’t even concluded. There will be plenty of time to sort that out over the next few months.
Either way, at age 30, Lillard is one of the best players in the NBA and his situation this offseason could make huge waves across the league.
