Despite a career night of 34 points from rookie Suns rookie stud Devin Booker, Dwyane Wade (27 points) and the Miami Heat held off visiting Phoenix 108-92 Thursday night.

Luol Deng added 12 points, and Hassan Whiteside grabbed 11 boards and provided his usual solid defense.

The Heat have won three games in a row.

Per the AP:

“What I liked about tonight is we came out early and took care of business,” Wade said.

Rookie guard Devin Booker kept the Suns in the game, scoring 15 of his 34 points in the fourth quarter. Alex Len had 12 points and 13 rebounds for Phoenix, which tied a club record by losing its 17th consecutive road game.

Booker received high praise from Wade after the game, and the rookie sounded somewhat humbled. […] “Obviously, Dwyane’s a living legend, everyone knows that, especially when he’s here in Wade County,” Booker said. “I try to take that challenge and try to have fun with it. Those are the games I live for β€” people I grew up watching. Now I get a chance to play against them.”
