So much for the Game of the Century.
Stephen Curry and the defending champion Golden State Warriors made a mockery of the San Antonio Spurs in a 120-90 beatdown Monday night in Oakland.
The Spurs, playing without a sore Tim Duncan, never stood a chance against the reigning MVP (37 points in just three quarters of action) and his squad.
Gregg Popovich used his postgame chat with reporters to take a hilarious shot at the Cleveland Cavaliers and their recent firing of head coach David Blatt.

The teams entered the game a combined 78-10 (.886) — the highest combined winning percentage by two teams playing at least 40 games into a season in NBA history. The previous best was Jan. 9, 1972, when the 35-8 Bucks beat the 39-3 Lakers to snap their 33-game winning streak.
The Warriors (41-4) have won 39 straight regular-season games at home and haven’t lost a regular-season game at Oracle against a Western Conference opponent since the Spurs won in Oakland on Nov. 11, 2014. […] The Spurs (38-7) had their 13-game winning streak snapped and fell to 7-1 when playing without Tim Duncan (sore right knee). The Warriors are 7-0 against teams that have won at least 60 percent of their games.
