The Miami Heat have yet to determine if Chris Bosh will suit up again this season, as he remains in the hospital undergoing additional tests on what could potentially be a blood clot on one of his lungs.

According to Bosh’s head coach Erik Spoelstra, the All-Star’s life isn’t in danger.

Bosh’s wife also assured fans that her husband is doing fine.

Per the AP:

“In terms of all the rumors and speculation, we’re aware of all the things that are out there,” Spoelstra said in New York, where the Heat will play the Knicks on Friday night. “Everybody’s jumping the gun right now. I know there’s a lot out there.

“Frankly, there’s not a full diagnosis right now. So for everybody to speculate, right now at this stage it’s very premature.”

The issue of blood clots — a very serious matter — is particularly serious in NBA circles right now, with Bosh’s situation coming just days following the death of former NBA player Jerome Kersey. Doctors said Kersey’s cause of death was related to a clot traveling from one of his legs to one of his lungs. […] And last month, Brooklyn forward Mirza Teletovic was ruled out for the season once clots were found on his lungs.
