WNBA All-Star Game to Make Comeback July 14 with New Format

After a crazy 2020 season and a one-year hiatus, the WNBA All-Star Game will be back in action on July 14, closing out the first half of the W’s 25th anniversary season, per Sports Illustrated‘s Joseph Salvador.

The W typically skips the All-Star Game during the summer Olympics but made the decision to go forward after not having either in 2020.

While the All-Star Game will be returning to Las Vegas, this time with a surprising twist: fan voting will remain but in the new format, a team made up of players from the U.S Basketball Women’s National Team and another team of players who are not.

Rosters will be revealed June 30 and voting for fans began on June 15 at 2 PM (EST), concluding on June 27 at 11:59 PM (EST).
