The drama surrounding all the rumors and speculation behind where the top player in the class of 2012 would land came to an end on Wednesday night when Shabazz Muhammad announced live on ESPNU that he will be taking to his talents to UCLA in the fall. The 6-6  wing chose the Bruins over Kentucky and Duke. He averaged 30.2 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game as a senior at Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, Nev., leading his team to a 28-4 record and the Class 4A state championship. Muhammad will now team up at UCLA with highly touted 2012 recruits Kyle Anderson and Jordan Adams. Look out for the Bruins next season. Congrats and best wishes to SLAM’s 2011-2012 HS Diarist!
