Rasheed Wallace on Track for Early Return to Knicks’ Lineup

According to New York Knicks head coach Mike Woodson, veteran forward Rasheed Wallce could suit up tonight against the Charlotte Bobcats (‘Sheed hasn’t played since mid-December.) Per the NY Post: “Wallace, who had foot surgery in late February, is significantly ahead of schedule. Wallace was on the court running (Sunday) on the Garden floor before they faced the Pacers in an attempt to clinch the second seed and draw No. 7 Boston. According to Woodson, Wallace will make the determination if he is ready for a cameo vs. Charlotte. At the worst, Woodson would like to play him vs. Atlanta in the season finale. Wallace has been out since mid-December with a stress reaction that developed into a stress fracture after he tried to press it in January. He had surgery on what the club labeled a fullblown Jones fracture in late February after which the club said he’d miss eight weeks. Premature reports had him done for the year.”
