Converse ATL Takeover, Pt. 2

This time in photos.

by Ben Osborne / @bosborne17

openerAs you may recall, I spent last weekend in Atlanta for the Converse ATL Takeover, which featured basketball, parties, music and the chance to see Converse’s next line of hoop shoes (only some of which we’re allowed to show or talk about at this point.)

During the week my PR contact with Converse sent me a bunch of photos of the weekend which were a whole better than my Blackberry joints. I downloaded the best of them so you all could get a better idea of what the Converse events were like.

This page will have Friday night’s party, next page will have Saturday’s Band of Ballers, where the ball was mediocre but the hip-hop sightings were outstanding.

It’s interesting to see Dion Glover involved. He was so talented at Georgia Tech, and even with the Hawks, he seemed like he was working his way into a good spot. I always thought he was the untroubled, somewhat-less-talented version of Isaiah Rider. I wonder what Dion’s up to…and how he got involved with this Converse thing.

I like the Atlanta Wall of Fame, pretty dope. Has there been any word of Converse making any other stops in other cities?
