Slamadaday: Ray Allen on Andray Blatche

I never imagined that the sweet shooting 34-year old Ray Allen would appear in this space. Surely, neither did Andray Blatche, with him as the victim:

Jesus Cometh! Christmas now has meaning again

It’s just an average dunk. Blatche happens to turn around just in time for the poster. Blatche isn’t a big shotblocker either. I find Ray Ray’s 3 pointers to be way more fascinating.

Good to see Ray Ray getting up there after all these years (and ankle problems). I remember when he used to be jumping out of his shoes when he came into the L.

    nice dunk and poor defense….

WOW, I’m not surprised at some of the comments. If that were James, Kobe or “fill in your favorite high profile player” the comments would have been flooding in about how awesome of a dunk it was. A true fan of the game can appreciate Ray’s age, the height and style of the dunk. He did not grab his jock or jump in the defenders face afterwards so I guess that takes away from the dunk for most fans. He didn’t take 4 or 5 steps to get it done either. hahha

    Nice D blatche

  • Bruno

every game in the league has at least one of this dunks
I thought this is called slamaday for some reason
Ray Allen is good but this dunk is just regular

Very rarely does a lowlight get me out of my seat. The apathy of the Wizards’ transition D is amazing. Jesus did right by taking advantage.

    BostonBaller: I couldnt agree more

  • Heals

Watching it live it was like “cool fastbreak, oh wait…. Ray’s keepin it, no he’s not, ooohhhhh, Ray, Ray.” He found the time machine around the 3pt line and kept going, give credit where credit is due ya’ll…

  • tavoris

why did NO ONE stop Ray’s slow jog from end-to-end?

  • james

    boy can still get up

  • Robb

I love Ray as much as I hate the Celtics. The man is just awesome.

  • Teddy-the-Bear

@ Robb: I heard that, I except I don’t h@te the Celtics. Shuttlesworth is the man.

When your reading Andre’s name, do you find it as appropiate as I do just to pronounce his surname as Andray “Blaggh”?

In true ‘sternbot’ travesty, Ray Allen gets asked to the dunk comp in Dallas whilst Shannon Brown sits at home…

    Anton that gif is CRAZY
