Video: Nick Young Off-the-Backboard Eastbay

Houston, we have liftoff!

Pure insanity. Nick Young in the next NBA Dunk Contest, or else we’re all going on a hunger strike or something.

SICK-NASTY, let Nick dunk next year(if there is one next year)

Kinda reminds me of JR Smith, the way Nick Young can shoot the ball and he has games where he scores alot, but he also has the hops.

Really like Nick Young, he plays with a youthful exuberance, if you will. He’s definitely got game, scored about 40 against Miami with Bron and Wade taking turns on him. He just lacks consistency. But I think if he gets solid minutes on a decent team he can average 18-20 points a game. Didn’t know he could get up like this tho.

Nice, very nice….didnt Jason Richardson do that back in 2004 though?

    non-john wall wizards news!

  • LP

80% of players in the league can do things like this, I’m not super impressed. Nice tho…

  • JL

nick young was top of his class in the vertical jump measurements. Does he do this in games? I don’t get to watch him play much.

  • http://slamonline.com The Black Rick Kamla

wasn’t quite sure if he still had it. He’s the first person I ever saw do a 360 behind the back, at a lay-up line at USC crazy.

  • http://www.optimabbc.be Max

Atleast he passed, even though it still was to himself.

  • rkirby

@LP no, 80% of the players in the league can’t do this. probably not even 30% of the players can do this

  • http://nba.com EJ

Nice math rkirby. Maybe a handful of NBA players can do this.

  • birdman

Damn that is nice. But I youtubed him after reading the black rick kamla’s post. And found this…

  • fruizm

    @LP…hahahahahahaha yeah OK.

  • robb

@The Black Rick Kamla I watched that one. Crazy stuff.

@LP: Man, u really 80% of the league can pull this off?! U crazy? I’d assume the number is closer to 10%.

  • Dr. DL

Yeah Nick has been doing this kind of stuff for a while now. I was at USC at the same time as him and remember never being able to really figure out why he didn’t have more national hype. Even if he can be a black hole on offense he at least has enough flash to his game and personality to merit more attention than he’s gotten. And I think he is like JR Smith except less of a headcase. And @birdman… whoa. Never seen that dunk before by anyone anywhere.

  • DukeFromDeep

Agreed, Nick Young goes off, or, as we say in Aussie “he goes alright the kid”…
