Video: Derek Fisher Tribute from the Lakers

Welcome back, DFish.

Derek Fisher returned to Staples Center last night for the first time as a visiting player, and the Lakers played this nice, little tribune for him on the arena jumbotron.

You trade the guy then you play a tribute video for him 3 weeks later? Mad insulting.

If I was Fisher, I would look at this as a slap in the fact especially since the way Lakers organization traded him for nothing. They should’ve let him at least ride out his career in LA and retire a Laker, maybe even put him on the court in clutch situations.

^they upgraded at the point guard position, he wasn’t traded for nothing.

too bad they couldn’t squeeze in any clips with Kobe in them…

Deserves to have his jersey retired there when it’s all said & done.

If they retire fisher’s jersey they should retire cooper’s jersey also.they are the lakers, not the spurs (I see you Bruce Bowen..!)

  • Roberto

I may be wrong, but didn’t he also play for the Warriors and Jazz? Im pretty sure he went to the Staples Center to play the Lakers at least 2 or 3 times.

It was a good trade for the lakers, opening room for sessions… but that made ma little emotional right there :’(

People dont understand that he is bout to win a ring with OKC

  • Zoom

I’d be insulted. They should let him retire in LA after all he’s done to help the Lakers!

  • PlanetAsia14

badnewsballer: After all that he’s done? Just because he isn’t a “superstar” doesn’t mean he doesn’t deserve that kind of recognition. A true leader on the court, even Kobe has a hard time playing without him.. And Zoom, you’re completely right homie I completely agree.
