Greg Oden Scores First Basket Since 2009 (VIDEO)

After trading away Joel Anthony, the Miami Heat dusted off Greg Oden for the first time since the preseason, and he delivered six points and a pair of boards in the Heat’s 114-97 road loss to the Washington Wizards (Miami’s third in a row.)

Man… thats a long time… Im routing for this guy though. I think he could be a positive force down low for the heat.

  • Anthony

Didn’t he get a bucket in the pre-season? Let the “Era of Oden” commence! Sam Bowie raise your head! Orthopaedists sing praises….SING I tell you! Makers of all braces beat your drums….The collectives knees of Chris Webber…Penny Hardaway…Danny Manning…Amare Stoudamire send your energies to the ODEN!

Watching him jump scared me each time

It’s only a matter of time before his knees cave in. It’s genetics guys. I know as my knees stopped me from playing in the big leagues. Some guys just don’t have the genes. It’s only a matter of time. I wish him luck though.

He did score in the preseason, on a play very similar to this if I’m not mistaken. Headline should read “First Regular Season basket…” But every time he jumps I feel likes he’s gonna injure himself on the landing.

Congrats to him. Always rooted for GO, he was just unlucky with the injuries.

Is it just me, or he looks younger? Whatever, I’m happy he’s back!

the fact that this is news is tragic

Anytime the play is remotely near him I cringe.

“The call me….MR GLASS!” (Unbreakable movie reference)

Benjamin Buttons!?! Greg Oden got Benjamin Button?!….HILARIOUS!

  • Anthony

Though this comment is probably sincere, the sheer contradiction in it makes it amazingly comical!

  • Ugh

Are you a geneticist? Did you scan your own DNA for genetic defects in your joints?

If you answered ‘no’ to either of these questions, stop talking bulls^$t about an incredibly complex and still-emerging science you know nothing about.

  • Ugh

Oh, and have a nice day.
