Portland Trail Blazers Make History With 21 Three-Pointers (VIDEO)

Triples everywhere.

In a 134-104 cakewalk over the visiting Charlotte Bobcats, the Portland Trail Blazers became the first team in NBA history to drain 20 or more threes twice in a season.

With small ball and the euro style penetrate kick and spread style of ball now, and the less ISO, less post up play, I think this record will fall and fall and continue to get broken in today’s nba. Most teams now just have three forwards and two guards, but essentially with one “centre” who is really a stretch four and the rest as perimeter players. Not knocking It just pointing out the sign of the times.

All the good teams except for Miami still have a center tho. But you’re right the game is probably going to evolve in that direction.

Portland is the new Denver. Great team, bringing home W’s, not nearly enough attention.
