Andrew Bynum ‘Feeling Worse’

The initial news came courtesy of Kevin Ding, via Twitter: “[Andrew] Bynum went through full practice today but said knee feeling worse than before (or same as last 2 games in Utah).” Ding later expounded: “To be clear, Bynum has no further damage to his knee, where torn cartilage is causing pain and swelling and won’t be rectified untill offseason surgery. He said he will continue to work on pumping the swelling out of the knee, same as he has been even after his strong Games 1 and 2 last series vs. Utah. Asked if the knee is worse, he said: ‘Not like the structure; it’s just creating more swelling, because I’m playing on an injured limb.’ What it boils down to is Bynum’s ability to play with the pain and minimize the swelling. That’s why teammate Pau Gasol said having Bynum take part in practice was important for him to ‘get used to that soreness.’…’I had to get out here and test it, and I think I passed today, so I’ll keep pushing forward,’ Bynum said.”

If Drew could just stay healthy…

It’s not like Bynum actually plays much outside of the first quarter anyway. He is just going to be a liability against the Suns.

No further structural damage and all that bull$hit. He could easily lock his knee or tear the meniscus ugly, so he would have to remove the whole thing and not just a part. Plus, he is compensating for the injury which could make him prone for another injury. not a good look…

Send him to Toronto. Time to trade him for Bosh, he’s gonna have this kind of problems his whole career.

Wait, so the swelling is getting worse cause he’s using it more, but they want him to practice more to get used to it?
Is anyone else seeing a problem here?

Doesnt sound good. I don’t want to be rude against Andrew, but sign Shaq and get Bosh.
