Video: Big Baby Celebrates, Drools

by Marcel Mutoni / @marcel_mutoni

It was the Celtics’ turn to have an unlikely hero (or two) last night, as Glen “Big Baby” Davis and Nate Robinson took over Game 4 down the stretch, and helped even up the NBA Finals.

With Andrew Bynum unable to play much of the second half due to his ballooning knee, Davis dominated the paint (18 points, 5 boards, including 4 offensive ones), and had the signature moment of the game. Which, of course, involved a lot of drool:

“This is what legends are made of, this is where you grasp the moment,” Davis said. “Just play in the moment.”

What is sure to be a classic Game 5 is slated for Sunday night in Boston.

@Rikson: 5 rebounds in 22 minutes is pretty good, especially since 4 of them were offensive rebounds, and most of them led to an immediate basket. and no one’s saying he’s an all star, just that he’s a good player who’s repeatedly stepped up when he’s needed. i don’t see what’s wrong with giving him some credit.

Often times babies will drool excessively when they have new teeth coming through….

LA Huey, to say Davis is one of the best at finishing in traffic in the entire NBA is not even close to being true. He’s actually poor at it most games. He had a layup on one occasion which he basically just threw off the back board. He’s definitely a good player, but don’t make statements like that after one game where he finishes well at the rim.
