David Stern Takes Blame for Knicks’ Isiah Blunder

Hey, remember when the Knicks foolishly and hilariously tried to re-hire Zeke? Sure you do. Well, Stern says that was his bad for not stopping them sooner. From the NY Post: In a sitdown with four New York writers in Paris as the Knicks flew back to New York, Stern fessed up. ‘It’s fair to say I missed the issue,’ Stern said. ‘I told them they can do it. And when it was announced, my guy said it’s not allowed. I blew that one pretty good. It didn’t comply with our rules and ultimately wouldn’t have complied with NCAA rules.’”

He should have admitted it then instead of waiting until well after the issue.

It was easier to let Isiah and Dolan take the heat.

Is Stern taking credit for Dolan’s overall idiocy? I hope not.

In other news, Stern also took the blame for Brandon Jennings Lady Gaga YouTube performance.

He still thinks the synthetic balls were a great idea, and the players whined too much about it, especially when it ‘cut their hands’. Alternately, he is very pleased with the dress code and how some of the players are doing their best urkel impersonation. Giddy that sheed is gone.
