Andre Miller Doesn’t Care If He’s Traded

‘Dre Miller isn’t exactly begging to stay in Portland; he tells FanHouse that it doesn’t matter to him what the Blazers do by the trade deadline: “It was Miller who said in December 2009, when his name was in trade rumors, that Portland is ‘where I want to be” and he’s ‘comfortable.’ He’s no longer that gung-ho about sticking around. ‘I don’t really care, really,’ Miller said. ‘You know what I’m saying? I would like to stay put, but it’s a business and anything can happen.’ When asked if he believes there’s a decent chance he’ll be moved by the Feb. 24 trade deadline, Miller said, ‘Yeah. Yeah.’ ‘There’s a chance,’ Miller said. ‘A lot of guys can get moved. Where? I don’t know. At this point, hopefully it’s not a team that’s rebuilding. I wouldn’t want to go back to like a Philly situation … I just take it as a positive,’ Miller said. ‘There’s 30 teams, and I’ve been with five … The main thing is just to keep contributing. Any team I’m going to be with, I’m going to take pride in.’”

He’s clearly not happy with what Patty Mills has been doing to his minutes lately. This guy is a legit point guard and can be a vital scorer for any team. Portland needs him there…he plays well with stars, a la BRoy and Aldridge and can play D and make the smart play. He is pretty underrated to be honest…

I’m a Blazers fan but I want them to blow up the team and build around Aldridge. Just forget Roy and Oden and start over. He is not happy and with how messed up the blazers are right now he deserves to be somewhere else, I’d love to see him on the Lakers. He’s be such an improvement over Fisher it would be ridiculous. He could learn to run the triangle. Or if he was in Miami, that would be sick. MAKE IT HAPPEN

I don’t know what his contract is, but dammit if he wouldn’t be a 5 level upgrade from Chalmers and Arroyo. Chalmers & Anthony for him? I[m not sure what would work, but Pat should explore it.

I agree with 23-Doom, for the most part. Couple guys I’d like to hang onto- Batium (even if we upgrade at the 3 and bring him off the bench) and Pryzbilla (he stuck with us through thick and thin, turning down a offer from the Pistons when they were contending and we were a non playoff team) plus we need his toughness when things get physical. And definitely keep Lamarcus.

    ^ And Wes!!

Most definetly. Rebuild around LA, Wes Mathews and Batum. I like Eboy’s trade of Chalmers and Anthony, the Blazers are desperate for some bigs. I ran it on ESPN’s Trade Machine and the only way I see it working is if Miami gives up Mike Miller, almost everyone else is at the minimum. For the Lakers they’d have to go with giving up Blake/Fisher/Walton and I couldn’t really see the blazers or lakers trading any of those guys. Pryzbilla/Miller/Fernandez to Orlando for Nelson/Reddick/Bass works though money wise. I could see something like that working out.

Dre is tough as hell, slow as shit, crafty as heck, great PG. dude could go to any team in the NBA and do what he does. didn’t suit the Blazers much when Roy was healthy cos he can’t play off the ball or spread the floor, but now that Roy’s out, Aldridge is beasting inside, and Dre clogs the lane and doesn’t spread the floor for when LA gets doubled. Patty can do that cos he can shoot some, but he’s not a starting guard, he’s a developing borderline backup.

blazers needs andre more than andre needs blazers. He is the best of the best point guard blazers ever had.
