Audio: Troy Hudson (aka T-Hud) “Obama Did It”

We already showed you how some NBA players responded to last night’s big news on Twitter, but now we have former baller Troy Hudson’s thoughts on the matter, which he’s delivered via “Obama Did It,” his new song. Hudson has been rapping as T-Hud for a few years now, and released an album in 2007 entitled Undrafted.

Obama did it?.. really? i was under the impression that the men and women in the military who have been fighting the last 10 years did it..

    This is a joke, right?

  • http://pickandroll.tumblr.com/ airs

i have no sound at work but im sure this is horrible. THUD

75 first week sales of “Undrafted”. 75 copies. Although I like his song with UGK “Good Weather Music”

  • @DEKNOWZ

America is disappointing me more everyday. This is not a movie, it’s no a videogame, the credits don’t roll when the “bad guy” dies in real life. We have to understand that we just killed their Malcolm X, yes their ideology is totally opposite to ours but the notion that this is over is classic hubris American behavior. You cant fight terrorism with bullets, bullets just make more terrorists. We need another way, this is just set up to be a 100 year war.

  • http://aol.com Run”N’Gun219

DEKNOWZ^ SO WE SHOULD NOT HAVE WENT AFTER THE MAN WHO WAS THE MASTERMIND OF A EVENT THAT KILLED 3000 OF OUR CITIZENS? FU(K OSAMA BIN LADIN. HE HAD IT COMING 100 TIMES WORSE THAN WHAT HE RECEIVED .

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

Nah, I agree with DEKNOWZ about most of what he said.
All this celebrating and this talk about being over…nah, it ain’t over.
    Not one little bit.
At this point in time though, bullet for bullet is the only way.
And Obama did do it, but with the help of a lot of people behind the scenes whose names we’ll never know.
The CIA and NSA and whatever other intel and counterintel organizations were involved, SOCOM and more specifically the SEALS who put their boots on the grounds and made it happen, and all that.
But it was Obama who made the call and said get it done.

  • robb

The soldiers did it. An c’mon, this guy had been sick for years, his replacement probably has been operating for some time now. Osama’s death is nothing but a mediatic move because Obama’s losing his credibility very quickly and this is gonna give his popularity a boost. Nothing has really changed. And this “bad guy”‘s family and the Bush family made millions of dollars together thanks to their business and financial relationships. Who are the bad guys then?

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

They weren’t “soldiers”, they were SEALS.
Soldiers are in the Army, these cats were in the Navy.
And like I said, these SEALS wouldn’t have done sh*t without the commander in chief’s approval.
Therefore, while Obama didn’t actually do it, it was his call, thus, he did it.
And while Al Qaeda is still strong, Ayman al-Zawahri is nowhere near as respected as Bin Laden was. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a lot of in-fighting as a result of this.

  • spit hot fiyah

@runngun really, he was the mastermind? look at your own govt, it laid way for their war machine, just another pearl harbor. Wild guess, u like fox news.

  • robb

Obama made the call? that call was given years before Obama became president. He just happened to be the president while this happened.

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

They didn’t know his whereabouts “years before Obama becamse president”.
They didn’t have a plan in place “years before”.
For this particular operation, at this particular time, yes, Obama made the call.
If you’re fairly certain that any US president would make the same call I implore you to read about past presidents and how their indecisiveness on national security issues have cost American lives in the past.

  • IAMORANGE4EVER

Really smart comments in this thread. *rolls eyes*

  • Fat Lever

Well T-Hud did it. And by “did it” I mean effectively killed hip-hop.

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

    Care to elaborate, GREEN4EVER?

  • robb

it doesn’t matter if they didn’t know his whereabouts, the instruction was to look for him and to kill him if he was found. The navy had those instructions before he was president. Obama doesn’t plan the operations, he just says: “OK, go”. You give him too much credit. Yes, it is a positive note for his administration but that’s all.

  • http://aol.com Run”N’Gun219

spit hot fiyah ^ yes, the mastermind. and no i hate fox news.

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

Maybe so, but believe me, the Navy did not have those instructions before Obama was president.
    Sh*t rolls downhill, not up.

  • spit hot fiyah

@ run sorry just seemed like they helped shape your opinion.

  • http://nba.com EJ

Obama just happened to be president when this happened, that’s what he did.

  • @Deknowz

@Run”N’Gun219, Yes your right, Osama was behind the murder of 3,000 people in the 9/11 attack (that i watched from my bedroom window). But we lost over 5,000 soldiers (http://projects.washingtonpost.com/fallen/)and killed over 100,000 people (http://www.iraqbodycount.org/)(http://markhumphrys.com/iraq.dead.html) over there. You’ve been a victim of good media PR.DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT THE MEDIA TELLS YOU, SEEK YOUR OWN TRUTH.

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

Soldiers’ lives were meant to be lost.
And this is coming from a former military member.
What the hell do y’all think we train, pour our blood, sweat and tears into for?
To use the GI Bill and go to college?
F that. Pray for peace, prepare for war…

  • doyouwantmore

There is only one real war: Good vs. Evil. We are losing it because as a nation we have become lukewarm and relativistic. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing us he didn’t exist.

  • @Deknowz

@Enigmatic, I can respect that,I have alot of friends in the armed forces and I understand the sacrifice and courage involved with getting the job done. But in this day and age of instant access to information, alot of the reasoning behind the sacrifice of my friends is unnecessary. Especially when it’s done for private profit. I agree with @doyouwantmore, we’re blurring the line. America use to be the measuring stick of morality and freedom to the world, now we have songs and parties to celebrate assassinations. We are going too far. You cannot stop terrorism with bullets, bullets just create more terrorists,we need to find another way. All this death has gotten us nowhere.

  • robb

@Enigmatic I’ve got a lot of respect for you, because being a military member requires commitment, courage and love for the country, and that’s exactly why I really hate the way the government takes advantage of that and turn people into disposable heroes. Your motives are noble, theirs aren’t.

  • Bryan

This was a result of 10 years of hard work, George Bush is as responsible for this as Obama. The real credit should go to those that have been on the ground doing the work, the C.I.A. for gathering the intelligence and obviously the Navy Seals.

T-Hud just wants to glorify obama (who deserves a proper amount of credit too, don’t get me wrong) And i’m sure Troy would have made this song if a Caucasian president had won in 08 and gave the same orders..

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

@Deknowz and robb – valid points from both of you.
From a military perspective – the troops are just following orders. We all know that.
Only thing we can hope for is that the men and women giving the orders know what they’re doing.

  • ktokyo

At least you could use proper grammar if you’re going to make a song about becoming president. “Why you can’t?” Really???

  • blakos

@Enigmatic, I have much respect for the troops on the ground. But I have to co-sign Robb. Whose interests are being met by all this bloodshed? It is to sustain the status quo (As in those who control and have power already).

  • M_Chio

I made it about 37 seconds.

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

We all have the right to question our government and its practices.
And we can agree to disagree without fear of retaliation.
One of the things that makes this country so wonderful.

  • Sunsforlife92753

11 monthes ago Obama made attempts to call off efforts in “The War on Terror”. It’s ridiculous for him to get any credit when hes been against taking military action against terrorists.

  • http://www.facebook.com/joe.l.brewer3 BlackPhantom

My first words when I cut this on was “What the F*ck”. Literally.

  • Ronald

@Deknowz: Dude, you’re like a voice of reason. Thank God.
