Unleash the legends.

With or without the real NBA season, NBA 2K12 will be in stores October 4th. Built off the success of The Jordan Challenge from 2K11, the game’s developers have added NBA’s Greatest mode, paying tribute to 15 of the most influential and game-defining players in the history of the NBA. Painstakingly re-created, the players, teams, and, even the presentation elements were built with no detail left behind. Above is a slideshow of the 15 players 2K sports chose for its newest game mode. Be sure to check SLAMonline in the coming weeks for more coverage of NBA 2K12.

Jukai – I downloaded Rosters in 2k11 that are almost identical to the Legends roster that will be in 2k12 (except the person created Reggie and Chuck) — And he did a real good job, even on the likeness of most of them. Not really of making Charles look like CHarles though, but everyone else was very good. (Reggie Miller was overrated)

@ugh Personally, I couldn’t care less about the shoes. As long as they get the Jehri curl drip animation right on Michael Cage & AC Green, we’re good to go.

PENNY!! lovin’ that i’m not alone on that. i’ve waiting not-so-patiently for him to finally be added. here’s hoping that you can actually take the classic teams online against your friends this time. that’s the major bunk part of 2k11. what’s the point in having payton/kemp’s sonics if you can’t play with them against your boy in nebraska??
