Keith Bogans to Undergo Season-Ending Ankle Surgery

Tough news for the New Jersey Nets and shooting guard Keith Bogans, whose season has come to an end. From the NY Daily News: “It’s never a complete day in Nets Land without a tear, a fracture or some sort of physical ailment. Keith Bogans is the latest victim. On Thursday, just eight days after he signed with the club, the 6-5 veteran was diagnosed with a complete tear of his deltoid ligament and a fractured ankle, Nets general manager Billy King announced. Bogans, 31, will undergo season-ending surgery on Monday. Coach Avery Johnson indirectly called out Kris Humphries for contributing to the injury, which occurred after the power forward allowed Greg Monroe to drive for a dunk in the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s loss to the Pistons. Bogans, who was acquired as a free agent on a guaranteed deal, was injured while trying to stop Monroe. ‘My reaction is it’s really tough when we’re screaming like 50 times, ‘We don’t want Monroe to go left. He’s a lefthanded player and he has two left hands,’ Johnson said after the game. ‘We’re screaming, ‘We don’t want him to go left,’ but we still allow him to go left and dunk on us. And, as a result, Bogans gets tangled up inside and comes down wrong. It’s just unfortunate that we didn’t execute and defend somebody’s individual strength, and Bogans gets hurt on the same play.’”

SO is Kris Humphries fault because he let Greg Monroe go left? Get a grip it’s his fault they scored but the injury has nothing to do with him.

Humphries is overrated. He can’t play defense. His claim to fame is being Mr. Kardasian. Bogens was better than Humphries when he came off the bench in Chicago. He would have been a starter on any team in the league. IF Kris actually played defense, & listened to his coach the injury would not have happened. Yeah, it was Humphries fault, & he should apologize for taking so much $$$$, & not being smart enough to do his job. What a chump!
