Brooklyn Nets Home Court Revealed (PHOTOS)

A look into the Barclays Center.

The Brooklyn Nets haven’t played a single home game yet, but above you’ll see photos of the floor they’ll play on when they eventually do (November 1 against the Knicks, for those of you counting down), courtesy of the NBA. Thoughts on the Barclays Center floor’s herringbone-patterned look?

    Looks amazing. Great design

  • Caboose

Love it. SUPER surprised that the article didn’t credit Jay-Z with the invention of the herringbone pattern in wood.

it was leaked, but we couldn’t for sure see the kind of floor it was. their the first team to use this type of floor pattern

    Give us our floor back.

what’s sick about a team that sucks and logo that looks like Boston Red Sox “B”? Trying to mix hip hop into a team’s logo/ colors = fail.

  • Dagger

    So much class.

  • Roscoe

Does anyone know the origin of the wood used? Just curious…

  • MissJackieM

Can’t wait to see them actually PLAY on it though. I’m excited !!!

  • fruizm

well I think its sick…and please dont bring your negativity to my posts.

I’m a Knick fan for life but I can’t front, the court looks tough. Loving the Brooklyn New York at center court. I live a few blocks from the Barclays Center. The outside looks awful but the inside is gonna be crazy.

  • PippenAintEasy

Expect Jay-Z songs to be pumped out of the speakers every damn game.

This isn’t the first. The original Raptors floor had a herringbone floor pattern (although the pattern itself was much larger). Only lasted a couple of years, though.

Been a Knicks fan since I was six years old… but I might defect. The revamped Nets look awesome and they aren’t run by a dolt named Dolan. Question is, will Brooklynites accept a Manhattanite as one of their own? No? Well fuck you too.

  • Teddy-the-Bear

jokes… but I still might defect.

Too bad i don’t like their roster ( or even Avery J. philosophy ) … because this looks really great, love that class black / white logo etc …

    silver+black is NOT white/black

Interesting to see “Barclays Center” written in blue, could that be Jay-Z Blue?

Absolutely. Still a die hard Knicks fans but I’m definitely rooting for Brooklyn this year as well.

  • robb

Very nice. I love the new look.

Not a fan of the dancefloor court or the franchise. I don’t want to see Prokhorov’s rubles buying wins and I simply don’t like the hype this team is getting despite proving nothing on the floor. They’ve done nothing to deserve the contender label that everyone’s throwing around. Also I’m a Raptors fan, and would never root for another Atlantic Division team. Although I gotta admit that Linsanity was great TV

  • Crispy Chicken

But the Brooklyn, New York touch at centre court is pretty tits

  • blzrbill

Not 100% sure but I do believe it is maple, like the wood they use to make bowling lanes an gym floors in schools

    100% sure now.

  • jesus

    word, f.ck jay-z

  • mike

    this ish gonna be crazy

  • child actor

hope real everyday brooklynites can afford the tickets

  • O

BK all day. My borough is thorough. Still a hardcore Knicks fan, but the Russian cat hasn’t proven to be a huge idiot like Dolan, so i’ma definitely support and root for the Nets.

  • O

Before Boston the Brooklyn Dodgers were rocking the original “B” on
hats. They stole from us and we took it back in a different sport. Don’t hate unless you know the ledge.

    That is so cool Nets!
    Welcome Nets!
    Go Nets!

Thanks blzrbill… I wonder where the trees are located?

  • blzrbill
