Minnesota Timberwolves Fired GM David Kahn

It’s been real, Mr. Kahn. According to Yahoo!‘s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Minnesota Timberwolves have bounced their general manager:

    Alright Raptors, snap him up!

Hopefully this new GM moves either Ridnour or Barea for an actual shooting guard, and not just a woefully inadequate defender who takes the ball out of Rubio’s hands.

i think you are actually wishing that David Kahn get’s a job elsewhere so another GM would be stupid enough to do that.

I’m reading the comments and seeing everyone celebrating (and making bad Kahn puns), but did he really deserve this? Sure, at first he had no f**kin idea what he was doing, but the team’s starting to look okay now. He got Rubio, Love, Pekovic, and Rick Adelman to coach.

  • RunNgun

Good riddance! Pass me some of that manna from heaven.

  • Da-Meat-Hook

True, but he also wasted three top 6 picks on Johnny Flynn, Wesley Johnson, and Derrick Williams within a 4 year span . . .

I think he was definitely showing signs of improvement, and the team with him. I guess the owner just didn’t see it in him. Which I’m not sure why he was even hired in the first place. Hope the wolves are done with picking up SGs who can neither shoot nor play D. With Love and Pek improving, and Rubio as well, all they are missing is the SG piece. AK should be good for another year before he breaks down again, so they need a SF as well. Not to mention a better bench group.

Sigh, that’s why Kahn is gone. After years of suffering, all they have to show for is 3 starting quality starters. 1 borderline superstar, 1 solid center, 1 PG waiting to break out as soon as he finds a jump shot, and I guess AK47 counts too but he was signed from overseas. None of the other draft picks developed. The russian rookie has a chance still, but his shooting really tailed off.

Maybe the T-wolves can start drafting some black players now.

  • Max

They could’ve had a way better team, but Kahn Kahn’t draft 2 good players in a row.
