Joey Crawford to Referee Game 6 of the NBA Finals

The immortal Joey Crawford is one of the three referees assigned to tonight’s pivotal Game 6 in Miami. Crawford, the notorious ref who has a not-so-pleasant history with the San Antonio Spurs, will be joined by Mike Callahan, Ken Mauer and Marc Davis as an alternate. May God help us all.

The worst ref of all time

The NBA wants the Miami Heat to win this championship under any circumstances. This series Just came to show people that Lebron is not on the same level as Kobe or Jordan.

  • Feez_22

does this mean that lebron will foul out again?

  • BugEyes

Tim Duncan really fits the part with that look lol

I hope there’s a bunch of blocking calls so I can see his enthused blocking call dancing, it’s hilarious. if you haven’t seen it check it out on YouTube

Welp!!! My hopes of a evenly called game is officially over. Green and Leonard will pick up cheap horrible foul calls in the 1st thous killing the Spurs rhythm… smh smh smh

refs can make bad calls, but they don’t put the round thing in the orange thing. Crawford doesn’t like anyone so I don’t think there is a biased here

I really can’t understand how Joey Crawford is still an NBA ref after ejecting Tim Duncan for laughing from the bench and threatening to fight him all those years back.

You know it’s bad news when this is news..

    GAME 7!

This is just…despicable. WHY is this person still even officiating????? Doesn’t this league have, 65 refs or something?? I thought referee’s couldn’t officiate twice in a series, maybe my facts are waaaay off, but, I’m sorry – - the fact this sorry excuse for a referee is a) on the clock and b) deciding a pivotal Game 6 in this series is AWFUL. I fear this doesn’t bode well for Spurs fans. All the same: GOSPURSGO

I remember this pic from Halloween. Tony’s expression cracks me up. Can’t say I’m thrilled about the nature of the photo, though – - Crawford may be out for revenge tonight!! All the same: GOSPURSGO

I’ve seen the video. All it does is confirm the fact that he’s a raving lunatic that should have been forced to retire years ago. I can’t stand this man.

At this point, isn’t Crawford’s history with the Heat less “pleasant” than his with San Antonio? Fouling Lebron out 2 years in a row in the ECF on insanely bogus calls (last year’s against Boston was especially awful). Tim Donaghy wrote about how Crawford’s hatred of the Heat was so strong he knew he could safely advise his guys to bet against Miami in any game Crawford was reffing. After he ejected Udonis Haslem once (Haslem had thrown his mouthpiece at him after a bullshit call), he overheard the Heat’s radio voice calling him out and then proceeded to curse him out in full view and hearing range of fans, including kids…and Mickey Arison. Arison tried to get him fired, and Crawford’s always gone out of his way to screw Miami over. His ejecting of Duncan for smiling is legendary, and he also screwed them in the 2011 playoffs, but his blatant actions against Miami are more recent.

The Spurs are trying to close out the Heat and a referee that obviously has an history with them will work on that game.

I understand why a lot of people think that the NBA is rigged. Those guys (NBA league office) should know better. SMH.

    what about lebron fouling out

  • 1982

I understand the hate, but lets not forget one was so bad he went to jail for it.

Crawford should move on to officiating WWF contests as that is an acceptable venue for his officiating style. The NBA has been looking more and more like entertainment rather than a real sporting event in the last few years. It’s all about the money.

  • Heat Cheat

Lebron fouls out because he extends his elbow every chance he gets, he weighs over 300lbs. and literally runs people over and then expects to go to the line…thats not basketball, thats bullshit and only in the nba is it acceptable and im surprised he doesnt foul out of every game!!!
