Former North Carolina State forward Tyler Harris has announced he will transfer to Providence Colleg. Harris, who averaged 1.8 points and 1.2 rebounds last season for the Wolfpack, mulled offers from Temple, South Florida, Alabama-Birmingham and Dayton before deciding on the Friars. Prior to leaving NC State, Harris was expected to be an integral part of the program next year, but will now sit out this coming season and have three years of eligibility beginning with the 2013-14 season. Tyler is the younger brother of Milwaukee Bucks forward Tobias Harris, and will turn 19 in September.
