The Lakers have been in no hurry at all to hire a new coach, but it looks like one candidate has jumped out ahead as the leader in the race. Byron Scott, who played for the Lakers in the ’80s and ’90s and has coached the Nets, Hornets and Cavaliers, could be LA’s guy.
Byron Scott frontrunner for Lakers job. Has been talking w/Kobe in coach/player terms. Magic, Worthy, MCooper advocating 4 him w /Busses.
