Andrew Bynum Out Indefinitely With Knee Soreness

The Pacers picked up Andrew Bynum in early February with hopes that he could contribute to the team, and though he’s played decent minutes here and there, it looks like the big man won’t be helping Indiana anytime soon, as the organization announced Friday night that he’ll be sidelined indefinitely with a sore knee. No longer just a “concerning” problem, Andrew Bynum’s knees will now keep him out of the Indiana Pacers’ lineup for the near future.

On Friday night before the Pacers hosted the Chicago Bulls, the team announced that Bynum continues to experience “soreness and swelling in his right knee and will be out indefinitely.”

Bynum has played in two games with the Pacers, averaging 11.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in just under 18 minutes per game.

Though the Pacers expected to play Bynum in short spurts, last Saturday he reached 20 minutes against the Detroit Pistons. Since then, Bynum has been on the inactive list.
