Former NBA Player Spud Webb to Coach a Team of Strippers

Spud Webb is now a coach, but not for your typical basketball team. The Sporting News explains: “The 5-foot-7 Webb was announced Tuesday as a head coach—for Rick’s Cabaret/New York City—at the gentlemen’s club dubbed as the ‘No. 1 strip club in New York’ by Playboy.com. What team is that, you ask? In an effort to provide basketball fans with entertainment while the NBA works toward getting the season started, the ‘sexy women’s team’ was formed as part of the Rick’s Basketball Association, comprised of teams from Rick’s Cabaret International. Webb’s New York team will play games against Minneapolis Downtown Cabaret and Tootsie’s Cabaret in Miami. ‘These ladies are fabulous and have obvious talents and skills,’ Webb said. ‘I can’t think of a better way to entertain long-suffering NBA fans.'”
