NBAers React to New Offer

Another week, another offer from the NBA that the players’ union may or may not accept. The owners have, according to reports, offered to bump up the minimum payroll for each team (which currently says teams have to spend at least 75 percent of the salary cap each season), and Commissioner David Stern said the proposal includes a 72-game season that would start on December 15. Of course, there’s still the issue of the mysterious, mythical and maddening “BRI,” or basketball-related income, on which union leaders have apparently agreed to settle at 50-50 for the first time since labor talks began. After the negotiation session ended last night and it was announced that the “last, best offer” was on the table, NBAers of all sorts hit Twitter with their reactions. Roll through the gallery above to check ’em out.
