Consolidated 2020 NBA Mock Draft

Today is the day. The 2020 NBA Draft will take place later tonight at 8pm, and all eyes will be on Minnesota for the No. 1 pick.

The question at hand is who could pair well with big-man Karl Anthony Towns? Will it be Georgia’s standout freshman Anthony Edwards, the name that is dominating the top spot on most mock draft boards, or LaMelo Ball – the flashy point guard who has been in the spotlight since he dropped 92 points for Chino Hills? Sources told ESPN that Ball had his first private workout with the Timberwolves last week and that he “shot the ball well.”

However, it sounds like the Hornets are also eyeing Ball. According to the Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor, sources say Michael Jordan has given the Hornet’s front office the go-ahead to draft Ball if they keep the third pick.

Then there’s James Wiseman, a unicorn that has remained a mystery ever since his freshman season at Memphis was cut short due to certain circumstances. Mock draft boards are predicting that Wiseman could also go either No. 2 or 3. While there’s upside in Ball, but Wiseman, as ESPN’s Jonathan Givony wrote is that, “Wiseman might be better equipped to immediately help the franchise return to the NBA Finals.”

While those names dominate the top three spots, the rest of the draft is stacked with prospects that are just as intriguing. Deni Avdija and Killian Hayes are two international prospects that some say could “lay to rest” the league’s “decades-old international stereotypes.” Other names, such as Obi Toppin, Tyrese Haliburton, Patrick Williams, Patrick Williams, Onyeka Okongwu and Devin Vassell have all been bouncing around the top-ten spots on draft boards.

As for RJ Hampton, Cole Anthony, Tryese Maxey and Josh Green, they’re all hovering around the latter part of the first-round.

Mock Draft boards have been updating, predicting and speculating all day. To make sense of it all, we’ve rounded up mock drafts from the league’s draft experts, to give you a sense of what tonight’s selections could look like:
