76ers, Andre Drummond Agree to One-Year Deal

Notorious for their scuffles on the court and jabs thrown on Twitter, two-time All-Star Andre Drummond is joining 76ers superstar Joel Embiid in Philadelphia for the foreseeable future.

The League’s four-time leading rebounder is signing a one-year deal with the 76ers for the veteran minimum.

LA and Philly have practically swapped back-up centers with Dwight Howard choosing to run it back with the Lake Show for a third stint. The Sixers fill a sore spot in their team that they’ve been trying to mend for years, a solid back-up center.

Drummond averaged 11.9 points and 10.2 rebounds in 21 games with the Lakers this season after being bought out from the Cavs back in March.

After trying out Greg Monroe and Al Horford at the back-up position the last few years, the Sixers may have found their knock-out punch off of the bench.
