SLAM Fresh 10 – 2018

As we compile and introduce the Class of 2018 rankings for the very first time on this site (check 2016 rankings here and 2017 here), there are a couple of notable and obvious pointers.

One: there’s lots of talented big men at the top of this group, like a lot—six of the top-10 prospects are listed at 6-9 or taller (eight of the 10 are 6-7 or taller). Second: Montverde Academy is where it’s at with the class. Three of the top seven players listed attend the Florida school, whose basketball program has won the national championship the past three years and whose alumni list include 2015 NBA Draftees D’Angelo Russell and Dakari Johnson.

We’ll continue to update the class rankings twice more through the season and expand to 25 by the spring.
