D-Wade Enjoys Dreaming About Playing With LeBron in 2010

This is very bad for Knicks fans’ hearts: “It’s not crazy,” Wade told me Friday night in Indiana when asked about Wade and LeBron conspiring together to join the Knicks. “It could happen. We both understand that. We both signed the same contract. We did it together. More than anything, it’s fun (to think about). It’s exciting to know we both control our future. Will it happen? Who knows. He has some something he’s trying to accomplish in Cleveland. I have something I’m trying to accomplish in Miami. But up until 2010, it will be fun to think about.”

    What the f*ck ever!

  • http://fdklf.com Jukai

That would be the worst thing for basketball ever. It’s wondering who is in second place for the next ten years. Would be like the 60s.

  • mike

Well, something better happen after 2 years of build up.

  • Ken

    Co-sign Mike.

“I would love to play with not-shawn-marion. I think playing with not-shawn-marion would be really special. It will be fun to think about.”

  • riggs

watch chris bosh end up in the knicks after everything is said and done.

  • adams

How the hell would STD-Wade and LeBron share the ball? They both adore dribbling and are not great jumpshooters, seven seconds or less won’t happen with these two.

  • http://ittakesanationofmillionstoholdthissac.blogspot.com ciolkstar

I think a Wade/Bron pairing could be disastrous. Bron or Wade and Bosh would be much more effective. Especially LeBron+Bosh because Bosh has the deadly midrange J.

  • ClydeSays

If Lebron ever finds himself playing with an actual PG, someone who can make plays, defend and stick the occasional jumper, instead of the converted 2 guards he’s been stuck with, he’ll be I-Can’t-Even-Imagine how good.

As for DWade, he should hope for a Bosh-pairing. They’d compliment each others game better than LBJ.

  • http://dillanleuyahoo.com Holy Baller

I agree with coilkstar and adams. There wouldn’t be enough ball to go around, and there would be a lot of complaining. Especially with how much Dwayne whines already.

  • http://www.kicksonfire.com Anton

@ adams: DWade is not a jump shooter? Kill yourself.

  • http://fdsklf.com Jukai

Really, you guys think pairing Bosh with Wade or Lebron would be more effective than Wade and Lebron? You don’t think their SUPERIORITY to Bosh (which is IMMENSE) overcomes the fact that Bosh is a little more complimentary to Wade/Lebron’s game?
I mean, I’d have a hard time arguing with ALL of you, but I’m pretty sure that Wade (who averages seven assists a game) and Lebron (who averages seven assists a game) could find a way to share that ball.

  • http://fdsklf.com Jukai

To me, this is like saying that Michael Jordan and Larry Bird couldn’t coexist, too much ball hogging!!! It would be better for either of them to play with Patrick Ewing.

  • http://www.nba.com JE

This would be the sickest duo in NBA history. It wouldn’t be like Jordan and Pippen — it would be better. It would be closer to Jordan and Magic. With D’antoni as the coach, this team would average like 130 a game. Factor in the heart of Lebron and Dwade, they might even play a little defense, too. This happens, Kobe’s going to say to hell with it and head to Italy.

  • http://karanmadhok.blogspot.com Karan

all those who say that wade and lebron can’t play together obviously didn’t watch the olympics, where the two coexisted and shared the ball to perfection.

  • adams

Hey friendly Anton, check out a feature called “Hot Spots” on NBA.com, Douche-Wade scores well in the lane and shoots okay from exactly one spot on the floor, he sucks from everywhere else.

  • adams

The Olympics were only eight games. How happy will Wade be averaging 20 points compared to Bron’s 35? How successful will a team be when the two guys handling the ball 95% of the time can’t hit a three-pointer? I’d be excited to see it, but I don’t think it would work.

  • http://www.shawn-kemps-offspring.blogspot.com Eboy

A little known fact for all the douche-like expert……EVERY player in the league…..regardless of how great or crappy they are, have “hot spots” that they excel from. Some have more than one but in general, there’s always one spot a player kills it from, especially high volume scorers like Wade, Lebron, Kobe, etc. Because you can’t hit 80%+ from 10 area on the floor doesn’t make you any less dangerous…it just makes you seem more stupid as a viewer.

  • http://www.nba.com JE

adams: A. They can hit 3 pointers.
    B. They’d be able to dunk it damn near every time.
    c. I think Wade would be ecstatic averaging 20 points compared to LeBron’s 35. If it played out that way.

  • http://fdsklf.com Jukai

Adams must think, instead of talking about Lebron and Wade, he’s talking about Kobe and Kobe. I’m confused with this whole “I need my shot” mentality he keeps talking about.

  • http://fdsklf.com Jukai

I mean, has Adams watched a Cavaliers game within the past year? Lebron moves more without the ball than actually on the ball. There’s so much fail in Adams logic, it’s not even funny.

  • http://www.shawn-kemps-offspring.blogspot.com Eboy

He obviously hasn’t seen a Heat game either…..where if Wade had a couple of guys that could consistenley score the ball off his creating….he could average 10 assists a game….and cut his turnovers down in the process.

  • http://fjdslkf.com Jukai

I’m not even sure the dude watches basketball!

  • adams

Ha, you guys are fun. I’m just saying Wade is not a good jumpshooter and I believe ego-issues would play a role. There sure would be a lot of palming and free-throws.

  • http://slamonline.com Russ Bengtson

If I were the Heat and the Cavs I’d be sick of this sh*t.

  • http://www.shawn-kemps-offspring.blogspot.com Eboy

Wade IS a good jumpshooter….he’s not a GREAT one.

  • http://www.shawn-kemps-offspring.blogspot.com Eboy

Great ones are Ray Allen, Michael Redd and Mike Miller. They are not top tier players in Wade’s category because they lack the explosiveness that he has that sets him apart form the majority of wing players.

  • S. Trotter

I don’t know about the logistics, but I’d pay to see them play together.

  • MeloMan13

and a raptors fan…who says bosh is leaving?

  • http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=RBQEmmgDl9I Boing Dynasty

    Jalen Rose.

  • a_whiteman

Meloman…If you were bosh, would you stay?

  • a_whiteman

I seriously believe a wade/lebron combo with a half decentpg and at least 1 defensive big, witha 6th man would be 70 plus wins for about 5 years straight

  • http://slamonline.com/ Double R

Like Charles said about LeBron, isn’t it disrepectful to talk about playing for another team, especially naming a specific team, when you are currently employed by another team?

  • http://www.nba.com JE

Meloman: Stephen A Smith reported it yesterday. It’s not just speculation — Bosh informed the GM that he has no intention of resigning with Toronto.

  • thesubwayconnection

Bosh is so far gone it’s not funny. Colangelo would be smart to move him now. As for LBJ + Wade on the Knicks, yes please!

  • http://hibachi20.blogspot.com Moose

    Keep dreaming.

  • http://hibachi20.blogspot.com Moose

Fearless predictions sure to be wrong for 2010….
    LeBron: Cleveland
    Amar’e: NYK
    DWade: Miami
    Bosh: Toronto
Melo: Denver…….You see I don’t expect many surprises. Yes, that’s Bron in Cleveland. After winning at least one chip. Maybe. Not really. Just IMO.

  • http://www.manutd.com Z

Come on, Dwyane, that’s some ho sh–. The Knicks are not your team and LeBron didn’t sign his deal ‘with’ you. He makes it sound like they made a pledge to come out together. I find it extremely disrespectful to their organization and their fans for players to talk about being on other teams. Wade, Bron, Nash… chill the eff out.

  • RUTAX

i think the combination would work…wade doesnt ball hog…look at his team and his talent…someone who can score like wade would come in everynight and put up 50 or something…but wade doesnt do that…he more for the team….his team is just as young thunders…so stop looking at stats and start looking at their games….the thing is whose going to take the last shot?????dwade of course…better jump shooter….too clutch…proved it too many times……

but in reality in aint going to happen…even though it could….i think these players want to do it for their own franchises….but its still no harm in thinking it might happen lol…but if a trade was going to happen for miami and its not with lebron…than the miami heat need a big man..someone to control the boards and play d with haslem….but we’ll wait and c

  • Luis

it could happen.we can only imagine untill the summer of 2010 actually comes.it would be awesome to see wade and lebron on the same team. i found it really funny how JE said that kobe would leave to italy lmao.but anyways. lebron and wade are good friends.the only reason that wade and lebron talk about their futures is because the media keeps bringing it up. im am not all that sure on what side to take because i would love to see LeWade (as the combo should be known if they do share a team) on 1 team because, sure it would mean dominance but it could also mean that, like someone previously stated, we would only be trying to figure out which team were to finish 2nd every year. like for example.lets say lebron and wade join miami…miami would win, what, like 5 straight championships…that would get somewhat boring after a while..MAYBE…..the only way that the nba finals were to be really exciting were if some how bosh were to join denver with melo and billups and so forth.but that is a big if.

  • Luis

but what the hell. i just want to see wade and miami prosper. no matter how they do it.

  • http://slamonline.com/ Ryne Nelson

Luis, you think Chris Bosh is leaving after this season? I didn’t even think of putting Denver on his radar, although I’m sure he’d love to play with ‘Melo.

  • Joao Guilherme Brazil

Wade and Bron will pair up in Miami on 2010… at least, that’s what I dream of.

  • shooter

5 rings in a row if that happens. the top 2 out 3 players in the game playing together? wow are you serious. i would move to N.Y
