Deron Williams ‘Frustrated’ With Utah Jazz’s Summer

The Jazz lost Boozer and Korver this summer, and the Deseret News reports that D-Will is less than thrilled with this new reality in Utah: “While addressing media at his annual charity golf tournament Saturday, Deron Williams admitted to being somewhat ‘frustrated.’ And the All-Star point guard wasn’t referring to a shanked drive or missed putt. Rather, Williams was sharing his feelings in the aftermath of the Utah Jazz losing their leading scorer, top rebounder and best 3-point shooter to the Chicago Bulls in a two-day span. ‘It was tough to see Booz (Carlos Boozer) and Kyle (Korver) go,’ Williams said. ‘But they made business decisions and you have to live with them.’ And learn to live without them on the court and locker room, too. That’s the hard part for Williams. ‘Any time you lose two guys like that you’re going to be frustrated,’ said Williams. ‘But … it’s a business, and that’s the way it went.’ Williams sent texts to both Boozer and Korver after finding out they were Chicago-bound and said he’s ‘happy for both of those guys.’ Asked about how busy this past week had been for the Jazz during the free-agency frenzy, Williams joked, ‘Well, it hasn’t been a really busy week for us. It’s been a real busy week for some of our former teammates.”‘

    COME TO NY! lol

  • riggs

    D-Will to the nets!

If he frustrated now just wait until the season begins and there is no inside presence and all of your wing players are shooting airballs.

  • JTaylor21

When he gets mad and wants to leave, those stupid mormons better not start buring his jerseys and crying about loyalty. By the way, mormon is not a real religion

Damn shame too, cause D-Will is a top 3 PG, best in the west, thats for sure. Win now mentality is killing the association. The Eastern Conference teams are gonna pound each other this upcoming season.

Ali, he’s the best point guard in the game. Boozer gone is a blessing to the Jazz. Guaranteed poor production/injuries for the next two years with him before he beasts again and gets another big payday. Millsap is gonna put in work!!

  • http://www.triplejunearthed.com/dacre Dacre

Hmmm note to self: As soon as a teams best player starts refering to activity in the NBA as ‘it’s business’, then you KNOW he just slide a little further down the chemistry chart on his way to “leaving on the next bus” syndrome.

    Dan Gilbert get him!!!

  • underdog

Paul Millsap’s game as a starter will make everybody forget about Boozer.

  • hoodsnake

Cosign Dacre…my bet is just before Allstar Weekend

  • Drew

I don’t understand how the Jazz and Hornets aren’t doing everything they can surround their PG’s with quality players. Forget saving money just to save, don’t they realize that if their team is winning the money will come in on it’s own. If you’re cost cutting to save money and in turn are losing because of it your fans aren’t going to want to support a losing team.

I would be frustrated too if I was D-Will. If they let Matthews go, he won’t have a two guard. They shipped off Brewer last season. Milsap better step up big with Boozer gone. He has a center that would rather shoot threes than rebound. And a small forward that’s a little injury prone.

  • kobesBESTfriend

and the road 2 the finals gets even easier for the lakeshow…move over mike kobe is getting that 6th ring this year!!!

  • Will Lee

form a big 3 with Mbenga and Tony Allen son

  • ron

    join the heats !
Big 4… or ask Melo to form a Big 5…
why not adding CP3 to the mix and form a Big 6…

  • LA Huey

They will miss Wes and Kyle more than Booz. Millsap and AK will pick-up the slack at inside.

It’s only a matter of time before Deron starts talking about leaving for his own “big 3″.

  • hobbes

Y’all r wrong. DWill should and will join the Lakers, replacing Fish as the point. Fish become his back up n still can hit couple big shots when it counts. Deron’s skill and style totally fit the triangle system. If u cant beat the LA then join it. Then we ll be talking abt 4,5,6 peat… after all we cant just let the east 4 teams load up big 3s, when LA will have big 5 haha~~

@jtaylor21: You are right, Mormon isn’t a religion, the Church is called the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. There are many members of the church in Utah but also many non-members that follow the Jazz, and for the record they are some of the best people you will ever meet. And don’t worry, they are committed to building a competitive team as evidenced by the signing of Al Jefferson who puts up similar numbers to Boozer. Looking forward to that partnership and he’ll likely play in more contests than Booz did, nice recovery, Jazz!

@jtaylor21- you’re an idiot. Mormon isn’t a real religion? why would you bring religion into this argument? Grow up an leave your ignorant comments to yourself you uneducated prick. D-Will, the Jazz fans everywhere will miss you, it was a great (almost) 6 years, good luck here in the east! its going to be tough!
