Carlos Boozer: ‘My Bulls Are Behind Me’

Seems Booz isn’t happy with this report. The Sun-Times spoke with the big: “Just like coach Tom Thibodeau the day before, Carlos Boozer was dismissive of a New York Daily News report over the weekend saying the Bulls were looking into whether the power forward really broke his right hand by tripping over a bag in his home. ‘Completely false, completely false,’ Boozer said Tuesday. ‘The guy was trying to create a story out of no story. Horrible reporting. Obviously, you want to get your facts right before you decide to write something that’s not true. Horrible report and my Bulls are behind me and my teammates are behind me. For me, it’s disgusting when a reporter writes something that’s not true.’”

I’m down with Booz ten-toes, and four flat tires.

MAYBE HE JUST TRIPPED, FUNNY HOW IN THIS DAY AND AGE THE SIMPLE THINGS ARE THOUGHT TO BE LIES AND THE OUTLANDISH IS THE EXPECTED. LOL

I had a feeling the whole investigating the injury thing was a little too low-class for the Bulls organization, despite what D. Wade or any other player who’s never worn a Bulls uniform might think, the Bulls are extremely loyal to their players.

I wouldn’t blame the Bulls for looking into the incident, I mean, VladRad tripped and it turned out to be a snowboard… Monta hurt himself exercising and it turned out to be a moped…
But bad journalism is bad journalism. If the Bulls aren’t checking anything, don’t publish the story.

  • MUBWAR

isn’t that what cause the Bulls to not get Kobe by hugging Luol Deng…losers

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

Mubwar you sound stupider with each comment you post on here, homie. Only the Lakers and Celtics have won more championships than the Bulls, so unless you’re a fan of one of those, you can dead that “losers” talk too.

  • VisionofGreatness

Only problem with this….it’s Derrick Rose’s Bulls, Not Boozer’s.

  • vtrobot

he tripped over one of his eyebrows.

Something just like that happened to me except I just sprained my wrist. So I can believe especially since he weighs bout a 100 pounds more than me. Amen Enigmatic

The fact that he broke his hand while ‘tripping’ over bags is incredibly suspect, but at the same time he is your newest addition who plays his heart out for your squad and you don’t want to rub him the wrong way by investigating this even more, which would mean the front office is trying to peg him as a liar. Although it’s their right to do so, investigating and finding a lie won’t make his hand heal faster, so as a Bulls fan I say just accept what happened and move on until something like this happens again, THEN deal with it.

  • TheTruth

Man new york daily news is always making up stories.

@vtrobot.. u say that like he has more than one.

Bulls should have gotten Amare anyway or traded for Al Jefferson, but Boozer will disappear in the playoffs like he did for the Jazz all those years, then complain. I love the Bulls new team, but I hate the Boozer pick up. Bosh, Amare or Al Jefferson were better choices. BOOK IT!!

disappear aye? i remember boozer dropping 35 and 15 on a healthy yao (whom uv repeatedly called the best center in the nba when healthy) n the rockets a couple years ago in n the final game of their first round playoff series.. doesnt look like disappearing to me

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

For his career Boozer has averaged 20.3 PPG, 12.5 RPG and 2.8 APG in the playoffs. I’m sure plenty of players would love to “dissapear” like that. Boozer disappearing in the playoffs? CANCEL IT!!

  • MikeC.

Until you get injured again you big baby.

  • http://slamonline.com Yknot

He tripped over a pair of tweezers.

  • http://thetroyblog.com Teddy-the-Bear

Boozer has played great ball in the playoffs, and is one of the main reasons for the Rockets not advancing past the first round for 2 years in a row. Believe me, I was p!ssed.

  • spit hot fiyah

@mubwar i think kobe had veto power in any trade and didn’t want to go to the bulls if he was traded for deng

  • KING

Kobe was not coming to the windy city without playing at that time with the so called best finisher around the basket deng

  • Lucas

So glad this clown doesn’t play in Utah anymore.

  • Zack

i think clown is a stretch… he just has one eyebrow. and he went to duke… other than those flaws hes a good ball player.

  • smooth

bulls are going to be a very hard to beat with him and drose

  • http://www.kb24.com The Seed

Boozer has disappeared, check all those series against the Lakers, where he was out played. Stats for Boozer doesn’t tell it all. Was he playing defense or hustling or making timely baskets. Boozer got his 20 pts, but the offense was ran through him. Boozer has disappeared and will again, also for those acting like he is a beast in the playoffs, please go read some Utah papers online about him and also ask yourself where did the Jazz go with him. He is overrated and got lucky that he was the only one left for the Bulls to sign. The Bulls would take Al Jefferson over him easilty and I know Jazz fans are SO HAPPY that they got a real big man with post moves name AL. BOOK THAT!!

  • RobbieJay

your bulls are behind you until you break something else in your body.

  • Fat Jet

Crap… man crap… I dont like his attitude.

  • eugene

    lol @vtrobot

  • http://google c_cantrell

shut up seed u jus make no sense

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

Yeah Boozer and Okur gave the Rockets the business. He also gave Denver problems.
But, he struggled horribly against the Lakers. And his field goal percentage can be a problem.

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

His overall field goal percentage is fine, but against certain teams, teams with length and where he has to defend an actual good player, Boozer can be a liability.

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

The Seed – Boozer disappeared in the playoffs because he played no defense? Ha ha, he NEVER plays defense! RESCIND IT!!!
