Dwyane Wade Thinks He’ll Miss 2 Weeks

Heat fans did not get to enjoy their new Big Three for very long last night, as D-Wade suffered a hamstring pull. He promises to return in a couple of weeks. From the Palm Beach Post: “During the game, Erik Spoelstra said that Dwyane Wade’s hamstring injury didn’t appear too serious. After the game, Spoelstra called it ‘day-to-day.’ But Wade indicated that it could be more like 14 days before he returns. ‘When I was telling fans at the Dolphins game to get there early (to the Heat game), I didn’t mean to get there that early, that they would only see me play for three minutes,’ Wade said. Wade said that he would see how what he called a ‘hamstring pull’ responded to treatment…in about a week. ‘In a couple of weeks, I’ll be back and running,’ Wade said.”

Take your sweet a** time Wade, the remaining heat players got you. Anyone that watched the game even though it was pre-season saw a CB4 that damn near unarguable when he’s on. People especially Laker fans hate on dude because he’s not on their team and choose to play with Bron and Wade but they were the ones that were ready to trade Bynum, Odom, and that Sasquatch for him not too long ago. Dude can straight up ball and there was a reason why he was chosen one spot ahead of wade in the draft, he’s better than Memphis Pau and will show why this season.

It’s preseason time he’s missing…..this is not troublesome at all.

jtaylor….I’ll give dude props for playing well and shooting his a*s off, but I’m not too thrilled to see him wearing that big, heavy brace. That’s more of a concern than Dwyane’s minor setback. Oh…and anyone that didn’t see any of the game, Dancing Bron is retired. Dude never cracked a smile all game.

The pistons were killing Bosh early on in the inside. When your major post threat relies on jumpers to score then something is wrong. Let’s see how he does when he’s playing against Bostons front line or against Noah and the Bulls. It’s also good to see Lebron still has no reliable jump shot and that his mechanics are still horrible.

Lebron ran a 1 man fastbreak in under 4 sec. He opened up Bosh, Haslem, and Arroyo for 16 footers all night without Wade. The Decision backlash gave him so much hate that he will now become the all business dude that Gilbert hoped he would become in Cleveland lol.

miami will be fine if wat we saw last night was a indication to how they will play in the regular season then they will be just fine an they did it without wade whos injury isnt a bad one an luckly will miss none of the regular season

so how bout Dwade got hurt on the first play of my nba 2k11 season and is out for a month. Are the nba gods tryna tell us something?

Kap: Bosh vs BOS last year: 20-25-31. vs CHI: 28-25. We know exactly what Chris Bosh does against Boston and Chicago and the rest of the league. Why are people acting like these guys aren’t 7-year vets? We’re waiting to see what they can do TOGETHER but they certainly don’t have to prove themselves individually. / As far as LeBron’s midrange game, I’ll just stop debating that because people like you will never, ever, ever consider that he has improved. He’s not Rip Hamilton out there but numbers don’t lie. Bron went from 34% to 40% in the last 4 years. Kobe has been steady at around 40% since 2007 (41 last year). Hoopdata DOT com. It’s there for everyone to see.

Lebron’s jumper looked fine last night….his free throws were another story.

The Miami Heat: Scary Good. BOO!

  • http://slamonline.com Kap

His mechanics still look awful and he shot two airballs but I know I’m nitpicking right now. @T-money…Boston arguably has the best frontline this year and Chicago has added Boozer so I don’t know how Bosh is gonna play against those teams.

  • T-Money

Kap: you know how he’s going to play vs KG and Booz because he’s been playing those guys for the last 7 years. I don’t understand the concern. / E: I don’t even want to talk about his free throws. I just don’t get it. It’s impossible for me to comprehend how can a guy so talented shoot under 80% from the line. It doesn’t make sense.

@Kap – I think Bosh will do quite well against Boston since their bigs don’t have young legs to scoot around with him 18 feet from the rim. Boston will probably concede points to Bosh in order to close the paint down on Lebron and Wade’s drives. I’d rather see Bosh shooting semi-contested 16-18 footers all night long than have Lebron and Wade swinging from the rim all night. On a somewhat unrelated note, I want to see the Celtics trot out the super-size lineup at some point. 5-Shaq, 4-Jermaine, 3-KG, 2-Pierce, 1-Ray.

  • MikeC.

That super-size lineup will also save the Celtics broadcast crew some money on replays because they’ll always be in slow-motion.

  • T-Money

It’s virtually impossible to contest Bosh’s jumper from the russian spot when he pops out the side PnR with LeBron.. unless you want to get dunked on. This is going to be fun.

Joel Anthony eats up the blocks. Didn’t know he could jump like that.

    Good.

  • Noel

How about Shaq, Perk, JO, KG, and PP lol

Eboy makes an excellent point about Bosh’s leg. The Heat will need a providential amount of luck to avoid Wade and Bosh missing significant time. Wade’s hamstring will be fine, but he has a history of injuries. I’m not rooting for the Heat, but I’d like to see what they can do at full strength for a whole season.

    Bosh looks mad.
    So does Lebron.
    Wade looks happy.
    The role players looked jubilant.
This is going to be a fun ride.

LEBRON LOOKS LIKE A DEMON OUT THERE, THIS IS WHAT HE NEEDED…A CHIP ON HIS SHOULDER! MIAMI WILL THANK DAN GILBERT COME JUNE!

  • Brian

It’s too bad falling short of winning the title these last few years couldn’t give LeBron the chip on his shoulder that people are claiming he has.
Looks like Wade spent too much time blowing his own horn this summer and not enough time running.

Keep on hating the Heat, that just shows how scared Lakers fans are.

  • http://www.nba.com Gman

@Eboy dont worry.. Im a Raptor fan, and he wears that brace like Rip wears the mask.

  • http://www.nba.com Gman

@Brian didnt matter if he won or not.. people were licking his N#ts no matter what. The Decision was needed, like gamma radiation to Bruce Banner.
