Brian Shaw to Interview for Pacers’ Assistant Coach Job

With Shaw clearly no longer in the Lakers’ picture, he’s looking for work elsewhere, though it doesn’t seem like he’ll get his wish of becoming a head coach anytime soon. The Indy Star reports: “Brian Shaw will interview with Frank Vogel and Larry Bird this week for the Pacers lead assistant coach position, according to a source.”

Ego check. From front runner for the Lakers head coach to assistant in Indiana. Life is tough.

Yeah, I feel for B.Shaw. This isn’t exactly a lateral move for him.

He has a head like a bowling ball

From Assistant coach to phil Jackson to assistant coach to mike brown isn’t exactly a lateral move either

I hope he takes the job & I hope he brings the triangle offense with him. Lance, Danny, Roy and Paul George would be great in that scheme.

damn, he should have taken the cleveland job last year when it was offered. that’s what byron scott said at the time, only 30 of these jobs available and you never know when your next opportunity will come.

He should’ve been hired as the Lakers Head Coach. Such a shame.

Um what about the pistons? they still need a head coach and i know they would want him obvisiously

The only reason he didn’t take the Cav’ head coaching job was because the Lakers promised him he’d fill Phil Jackson’s shoes. The Lakers screwed him over and now they aren’t even keeping him as an assistant. Welcome to corporate America, ladies and gentlemen.

To all the naysayer’s and the hater because there are many in the town of oakland and elsewhere. Remember GOD puts you in the places you should be and for his reasons and know man or woman can work against what GOD has for you. So B Shaw will be okay as this is a minor bump in the road to the things he’s been through and I know half of you couldn’t have made it this far. many blessing to Brian Shaw and his family!

Nothing but major love for Coach Shaw and his family. He’s incredibly talented, capable and worthy of all the best life and a career in the NBA has to offer. God has never taken his hands off of him, and Brian is blessed beyond measure. Just watch him work it all for good in Indiana.
