  D Wade is starting to show the wear and tear. These injuries will take their toll. Miami’s window, with the team as currently constructed, is probably open for 4 more years. Le Bronsons “not 6 not 7″ prediction is not looking good.

  jtaylor: agreed. wade has been playing like a– this year, somewhat lazy too. and bron always explodes when wade is out because he has to be aggressive for the full 48.

  Lebron plays his best when he knows he has to be selfish. so for regular season, Lebron by himself won’t be too bad… just look at his cleveland days. Come playoffs where the pressure and intensity level are higher… he may need wade again. So if wade is out for a little while i don’t think it will really matter.

  JTaylor is right: the Heat were playing well without Wade, and this will give Wade some time to heal his various injuries while avoiding some of the worst rigours of the compressed schedule.

  Absolutely, more playing time for Norris Cole is always good and lets see who else can step up. The real season doesn’t start until the playoffs for this team anyways. How long is Mike Miller out for?

  Money, of course not. There are two guys capable of performing. Bynum and Gasol aren’t too shabby if you ask me. Plenty of teams could do worse than that tandem if their star goes down.

  blessing and a curse. youve got to hit the right stride going into the playoffs…if Dwade can get and stay healthy, We could see another 20+ win run (hopefully heading into the playoffs). Blessing-Lebron has to step up for 48 minutes. Curse-when Dwade comes back, Lebron will probably go back into anti agressiveness in he final minutes. Chemistry plays a really big part. Its only been one year and some change. They have to figure out the final minutes of games…blow outs thru 36 minutes mean nothing

  @Mr. Right—you are wrong. Injuries occur when you play too many games too close together. You dont have time to heal properly. Everyone is getting hurt, Gasol, Kobe, Melo, Drose, Ray Allen, Pierce, even Lebron sat out a game. These Back to back to backs are crazy…and the 4 games in 5 nights too. Its not age (wear and tear), its the schedule.

  at the end of the day dwyane wade has the killer instinct that lebron doesnt have so during clutch moments of a close game the heat will still lose because lebron never accepts the challenge

  If Lebron only dominates against poor teams how did he lead his team to the best record two years in a row? Or, how exactly was he able to win the MVP award two years in a row? And after Shaq left the Heat, and before Lebron joined the Heat what exactly did Wade do with all his clutchness and Killer instinct?

  Anybody who thinks its a blessing in disguise, if Wade does not play, obviously thinks Lebron is clutch. Also if Lebron is better playing as the man, he should have stayed on Cavs win 6 straight MVP’s and win maybe one ring. Lebron needs Wade and stated that on his television show last year. BOOK IT!!

  players are dropping like flies. the nba season will be a bust unless the league expands the roster to 17 or 18 players to compensate for the injuries that will undoubtedly persist. otherwise, there will no reason to continue to watch games.

  I agree with the curse and the blessing, letting other people have to carry the burden is good, Lebron is clutch enough, he dismantled the Bulls last year and what about what he did to the Pistons? He carried this team to the finals last year, and I think him having to step up will bring the best out of him and will force the rest of the team to step up (hopefully mainly Bosh) still havent seen that post game that was reported on before the season and him supposedly bulking up to play center was a joke

  The Seed, since 2006 how far has the Cavs made it in the NBA, compare to MiamiHEAT? You need to take “what it is you have against” LeBron and be objective. Haven’t u also heard in interviews, where LeBron, Bosh & Wade said while they prepared & play for the USA basketball Team, they always joked about the 3 of them playing together one day. Though, u didnt say it..dont hate on LeBron going to Miami…he was FREE. He didnt stay in Cleveland and DEMAND a trade. As far as I see, Wade need LeBron too. Now if they can win a ‘ship together….let’s wait & see.

  Wade should go hakeem and just wear every brace known to man at the exact same time. He’s already playing on his old shoes because he can’t adjust to the lunar foam. I hope he get’s well soon but just his posture alone (hunched forward) is gonna cause injuries.
