Dwyane Wade said: “I don’t know if [LeBron James] has the ability to surpass [Michael Jordan] or not.” So, what do you think?
Does LeBron James have to the ability to surpass Michael Jordan?

Does he have the ability? Yes. Does he have the heart? No
Don’t think so.
i don’t think he’s in the discussion when it comes to scoring prowess. overall impact is worthy of debate, but the largest facet of basketball greatness (scoring ability) automatically discredits LeBron’s relevancy in this conversation.
He’ll have to be lucky to pass MJ.
Ability is can, he “can” but he won’t.
Shouldn’t we worry about him being better than Bird before jumping all the way to MJ?
Scoring is the largest facet of basketball greatness? Bill Russell, John Stockton, and Magic Johnson are insulted.
If LeBron had Kobe’s drive he most definitely could surpass MJ
Great… a spinoff of the Dream Team vs. the 2012 team. -___-
He has the physical ability, not the mental ability. And there are many more rungs on the ladder (Magic, Bird, Kobe, not counting all the great big guys) before we get to Jordan.
anyone who thinks lebron can surpass jordan is guaranteed to be born in the 90′s
Not all us 90′s kids are idiots! Don’t worry, I know LeBron isn’t passing Jordan.
Dude lebron is not even better than Kobe if you want to compare anyone to Micheal Jordan it is Kobe Bryant
He’s not even close to Kobe yet, hold your horses.
5 more championships and a few more mvps and get back to us with that question. F the haters, but also F Lebron
48% have never seen jordan play
LeBron isn’t going to be the next MJ because he’s going to be the first LeBron.
The question is based on “ability”…. not resume, drive, heart, or all the other intangibles that made Jordan great. But yes Lebron is a freak of nature and most definitely has the ability to be the GOAT. But will he be? As a Thunder fan… I sure hope not.
Nope! He will always be LeChoke to me.
Yep, he may be the most talented player ever but it takes more than that to surpass MJ.
I don’t doubt LeBron’s game, but this isn’t a fair poll or comparison because it was a different time, different game. So for that i say nope.
what is it needed to surpass MJ? the rings? total points? c’mon… this is such a funny topic.
6 years of total domination about any individual matchup, 6 more years of total domination over the league and winning every titel for which he competes. then maybe return at the age of 39/40 still put up 20ppg and make it to the all star game at this age.
stupid question…or should I say Skip Bayless type of question…
Of course Lebron has the ABILITY to pass him. He’s Lebron James!!!!! Whether he will or won’t however, is yet to be determined.
