As a growing entrepreneur and self-professed “Renaissance Man,” Dwyane Wade said that he has plans of owning an NBA team in the future.
Wade, who made $12 million in endorsements this year, sat down with Bloomberg’s Stephanie Ruhle on the court at his house in Miami to talk about everything from his equity stake in Li-Ning to Kobe’s retirement.
Around 4:28 in the video above, Wade says that he only wants to invest his money in things he can own, including an NBA franchise:
“At this point, if I’m not owning it, I don’t want to be a part of it. I’ve made it very clear that when it comes to the game of basketball, one day—don’t know when that day is—I would love to have that ownership for sure.”
