Playoff Kicks of the Night

Two playoff games. One, an instant classic. The other, a thorough beat down.

LeBron James—in another PE version of his Nike LeBron 12—lived up to his “King James” moniker as he crushed the hearts of Chicago fans, leading the Cavs to an 86-84 buzzer-beating win over their hometown Bulls. Chicago native, Kanye West—rocking a pair of adidas Energy Boost ESM—looked to energize the home crowd with a surprise performance during the first quarter yesterday’s game. And while it might have provided a bit of a spark for the Bulls, James and company would not be denied victory. The Cavs’ win evens the series at 2-2.

In Los Angeles, Houston implemented the “Hack-a-Jordan” strategy and while it theoretically worked (DeAndre ended the night shooting an abysmal 14-34 from the line) the rest of their game plan fell apart as the Clippers dismantled the Rockets once again, 128-95. Jordan, in his familiar ‘Photo Blue’ Nike Zoom Soldier VIIIs, continued his strong play as he finished the night with 26 points and 17 boards. James Harden, debuting a fresh new colorway of the Nike Zoom Run the One, led his team with 21 points on the evening. The Clippers look to close out the series in Houston on Tuesday night.
