Jamal Coombs-McDaniel’s roller coaster ride during his two-year stay at UConn came to an end on Thursday when he decided to ask for permission to speak to other schools and eventually transfer. The 6-7 sophomore forward was arrested on drug possession charges just two weeks ago. Coombs-McDaniel averaged 4.5 points in 75 games during his two-year stint with the program. He had surgery on April 7 to repair ligament damage in his left knee.
