Baylor’s Odyssey Sims Wins Frances Pomeroy Naismith Award

Every year, the Frances Pomeroy Naismith Award goes to a female college player, 5-8 and under, who’s shown prowess both on the court and in the classroom. This year’s winner is Baylor University Lady Bear, Odyssey Sims. More details below via the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association:

“Sims, a senior guard and four-year starter at Baylor, is the nation’s leading scorer and has guided the Lady Bears program to a top 10 ranking.

The Irving, Texas native has earned a slew of honors during her career as a member of the Lady Bears program including being named a WBCA All-American and USBWA All-American in 2012 and 2013, a 2013 AP All-American first team selection and the National Freshman of the Year by the USBWA.
